I must admit as someone who loves games like this. I struggled quite hard between who i liked most. For me its a battle between the Edmund, Miquel and Frankieand trust and believe i still cant choose.. PLEASE MAKE A SEQUEL!!! I LOVED this game! The humor was perfect, the dialogue was super natural and flowed well, and the story overall was very relatable. It wasn't so out there that it's ridiculous, and it wasn't too normal to be boring. I could feel that a lot of thought and effort had been put into it. I really loved it and it left me hungry for more! I'll tell you right now, if you make another, i'll buy it in a heartbeat! (Even for twice the price lol). I only request more cgs and sexy time~ I think the only think this game may have been lacking in, is the number of cg's and artwork. I'd love to see more artistic expression. Maybe even adding a blush effect during the normal dialogue. But if it meant a sequel I wouldn't mind if they were forgone completely. However, evething else have to be improve: the art, the GUI, the system... At least the art here much better than the dev of Serafina's Crown. I'm not recommend it with full price. Lovely visual novel which manages to have 10 hours of content and not turn boring.The art style appealed to me and that is what got me interested in the game, saw it on indiegala in a bundle and jumped head first in, i definetly did not regret it.The art style never dissapointed me, it's very cute, fits with the storyThe story and dialogue also feels like it wants to tell a story BUT doesn't take itself too seriously, the jokes don't fall flat, the characters all have their own personalities, hopes and wishes. Overall, i would say that this game is worth the buy even at full price, but i would wait for any kind of sale as well.. Animal Lover has easily made it's way into my top 10 favorite visual novels, just after one playthrough. I'll admit I was very skeptical with the title at first since the whole animal/human combo character (or whatever you want to call them) aren't really my schtick. But the price was right, I had the money in my wallet, why not. The pacing of the game is something that is pretty slow, but not in a bad way. From what I can tell the game isn't necessarily divided into traditional routes, where you make decisions and then spend 99% of the time with your chosen character for the rest of game. Honestly, the game itself reads more as a story of these six strangers who come together through the weirdest of circumstances and how they basically become a sort of support/family unit. The romance is still definitely there, that's just my opinion on the matter.One thing I really want to gush about is the MC. Oh. My. Gosh. She is WONDERFUL. Like the way the devs wrote her she feels so real? And there were things about her that I could specifically identify with or one of the choices that she could make was exactly what I was thinking. She actually has a personality and emotions. She gets mad, sad, annoyed, embarrassed. She acts strong but also has moments of weakness, she's an actual character. And it's just....so fricking wonderful. The other characters are all amazing as well, all the boys are distinctly different with their backgrounds and personalities. I'm really excited to read through the other routes and see what else is going on with them. Although, I'll be honest Miguel already holds the number one spot in my heart. It's gonna be darn near impossible to top that. The other important aspect of any VN, the story. Like I said, the pacing is a little slow, but it works. These characters have to take things a day or two at a time. While the plot isn't realistic, the pacing is. I never really found myself bored, there was always a new interested side character or plot moment around the corner to keep me intrigued. If you're a skeptic because of the title like me, trust the devs that that isn't what the game is. This is a game that will hopefully sneak it's way into your heart like it did mine, as cheesy as that phrasing is. Definitely pick this one up for your library.. The storyline keeps not going where the characters have planned, that's pretty amazing. And the dialogues are really good. There's a great interaction amongst the all characters and it doesn't feel unnatural or strange. I'm quite engrossed with this story. I'm going to try mutliple routes, something I rarely do. I usually only play one route (sometimes because there's only one boy I'm interested in), but the characters are all pretty interesting. I like that. No one is really a big bad meanie, no sadistic type (I hate those). These guys are all pretty good guys, with a different personality. Okay Kyle's a bit bad but not in a really bad way, more like a rebel. We all like rebels, right? ;).
